List of national parks and national forests in Belarus

This is a list of national parks of Belarus. It also lists main nature reserves. There are currently four national parks in Belarus. The Belavezhskaya Pushcha National Park is a trans-boundary park between Belarus and Poland. Together parks cover more than 3,300 km2 (1,300 sq mi). Belarus (i/bɛləˈruːs/ bel-ə-rooss; Belarusian: Беларусь, Russian pronunciation: [bʲɛlaˈrusʲ] Russian: Беларусь, Белоруссия, Belarus’, Belorussiya), officially the Republic of Belarus, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Russia to the northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. Its capital is Minsk; other major cities include Brest, Grodno (Hrodna), Gomel (Homiel), Mogilev (Mahilyow) and Vitebsk (Vitsebsk). Over forty percent of its 207,600 square kilometres (80,200 sq mi) is forested, and its strongest economic sectors are agriculture and manufacturing.

1. Białowieża Forest National Park and national forests

Białowieża Forest, known as Belovezhskaya Pushcha (Belarusian: Белавежская пушча) in Belarus and  Puszcza Białowieska in Poland, is an ancient woodland that straddles the border between the two countries, located 70 km (43 mi) north of Brest (Belarus) and 62 km (39 mi) southeast of Białystok (Poland). It is one of the last and largest remaining parts of the immense primeval forest that once stretched across the European Plain.

2. Braslau Lakes National Park and national forests

Braslau Lakes (Belarusian: Браслаўскія азёры, tr. Braslawskiya azyory; Russian: Браславские озёра, tr. Braslavskiye ozyora) is one of the seven National Parks in Belarus. The National Park was set up in September 1995. It is a unique ecosystem with a number of lakes and a large area of pine forests. It has a total area of about 700 km 2 (270 square miles). This includes 30 lakes. The largest lakes are Dryvyaty (Belarusian: Дрывяты), Snudy (Belarusian: Снуды), and Strusta (Belarusian: Струста).
